An African drumming workshop with Epizo Bangoura from Guinea, West Africa is an immersive, hands-on experience in traditional West African rhythms. Participants learn basic djembe and dunun techniques, call-and-response patterns, and authentic rhythms from Guinea’s rich cultural heritage. Epizo guides the group through energetic, rhythmic exercises and teaches traditional rhythms and songs that build confidence, coordination, and group connection. No prior experience is needed — it’s about feeling the groove, community, and joy of collective music-making.
