Kayleigh Christine
performance
Kayleigh Christine is a multidisciplinary artist working across acrylic, oil, and mixed media. Her practice explores the creative feminine force that runs through all of life, as an embodied, living, ongoing current. With a background shaped by psychological and theoretical study, her work is informed by archetypes, mysticism, and the lived experience of womanhood and motherhood. She is interested in how cultural conditioning and creative instinct intersect, and how art can become a site of reclamation. Her ongoing series 'God Is a Mother' reimagines divinity through origin and creation, honouring the generative force from which all life and matter emerge, as cyclical, powerful, and deeply embodied. Alongside her painting, Kayleigh hosts the podcast Honey and writes essays and poetry on Substack. She is currently developing a prose collection centred on reclaiming creativity as a way of living. Based in Cambridge NZ, her work invites an intentional relationship with creative life.
