Slow, Grounded, Alive - Embodied Movement Through Middle Eastern Dance
culture
I am a dance artist and teacher originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, currently based in Aotearoa where I have been performing and teaching within the local dance community for over eight years.
Dancing since 2011, my practice spans traditional and contemporary Middle Eastern dance styles, with a strong focus on rhythm, musicality, and embodied movement, sometimes adding flow props like veils, fans and poi.
My teaching approach emphasises creative exploration, safe and sustainable technique, and cultural respect. I create inclusive spaces that invite participants to slow down, listen to their bodies, and move with awareness, curiosity, and authenticity — supporting a deeper connection between body, rhythm, and emotional expression.
Alongside my dance practice, I am on an ongoing holistic journey, integrating movement with other disciplines to cultivate grounded, present, and embodied ways of moving and being.
